# Supported chains and tokens

> Every chain the Wagyu API supports, with chain ids, which side of a swap each can be on, minimum deposits, confirmations and the exact token value to send for native coins.

Wagyu currently lists **14 chains**: you can send from 12 of them and receive on all 14. The catalog holds **7,533 tokens you can send** and **8,204 you can receive**. Everything on this page is read from the API when the site builds; the API itself is always the final word.

- **Minimum deposit** is the smallest deposit an order accepts on that chain, in USD. A quote under it is not refused (see [the quickstart](https://docs.wagyu.xyz/getting-started.md#2-ask-for-a-quote)), so check it yourself.
- **Confirmations** is how many blocks Wagyu waits for before treating a deposit as final. A range means the number depends on the deposit.
- A chain that is a destination only (such as Hyperliquid or Sui) can receive funds but cannot be the source of a swap.
- Chain ids are Wagyu's identifiers. Some match the usual EVM chain ids; others, like Monero `0` or Bitcoin `20000000000001`, are Wagyu's own. Always take them from the API.

## Main asset on each chain

These are the `featuredTokens`. The **token value to send** goes in `fromToken` or `toToken`, exactly as written:

> **Use the catalog value, not a shortcut:** The contract says a chain's native coin may be sent as `"native"` or as its symbol. On the live API this does not work everywhere: on Ethereum, `"native"` and `"ETH"` both return `no_route`, while the zero address works. Always send the `address` the catalog returns.

## Search the rest of the catalog

`GET /v2/swaps/assets/tokens` searches every token by symbol, name or address:

| `direction` | Required. `from` for tokens you can send, `to` for tokens you can receive. |
| `chainId` | Optional. Limit the search to one chain. |
| `q` | Optional. Symbol, name or address, up to 200 characters. |
| `limit`, `offset` | Paging. `limit` is 1–100 (default 100). The answer gives `total` and, when more remain, `nextOffset`. |

Several tokens can share a symbol: the search above returns `USDC` but also `syrupUSDC`. Match on `address` and `chainId`, and use the returned `decimals` to convert amounts.

The catalog changes over time. A token being listed does not guarantee a route for every pair and amount: the [quote](https://docs.wagyu.xyz/api-reference/quote-swap.md) is what confirms a route is available right now.
